New Patient Consultation

Here is a summary of what you can expect during your new patient consultation:​

• first we will ask questions about medication, operations, accidents, your occupation etc

​​

• we will then talk further about the history of the current pain you have, this will help your chiropractor understand your pain but also they will begin to consider what could be causing the pain in that area

​​

• next is a physical examination, this includes posture, looking at your range of movement, feeling the area of pain, and special tests which can help to confirm or rule out a possible diagnosis

​​

• once the chiropractor has finished the physical examination, they will present a report of findings; in short, this is to explain to you what they have found, give you a diagnosis, create a plan of treatment and what the treatment involves

​​

• If you're happy to go ahead and have given your consent, we will do the first treatment.

Please note: sometimes the chiropractor may decide it is not appropriate to provide treatment and will discuss with you the next steps.
